…taking The Initiative…

“All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney

Everyone dreams. It’s a biological fact of life.

Each and every single one of us has a dream hidden deep within our hearts; the dream we take out and examine every once in while and ask, “What if?”

For most of us, our dreams hardly ever become anything more than what they are; intangible, a dream. We sit back passively, watching others strive and risk all. We applaud them when they rise above all obstacles and overcome, and scoff at the foolishness of those who fall flat on their faces.

Why is that? Why do we let our dreams die in the quiet recesses of our hearts? Is it really because we don’t have the talent or the ability? No. Is it because we don’t have the passion? Probably not. It’s because we lack the courage and determination to actually take the risk. We lack the initiative.

We are The Initiative Production Company, and as an up and coming, independent film production company, we don’t have access to expensive film equipment, or a major studio financing us, or even a large production team.

What we have is five people with a dream. A dream to tell stories that matter, and not only to us, but also to the world. A dream to tell stories that will bring hope to those that have none, and to challenge the way that we view ourselves and our world.

In February 2012, come what may, we are shooting our first feature film as a production company called, The Umbrella.

Our hope is that you will join us on this exciting journey, and discover with us if we can bring this dream into reality.

    What we have is courage.

    What we have is initiative.
