Day in the Life of a Director

I once heard someone say, “Directors have it easy, they just tell people what to do”, and they couldn’t have been more wrong. Yes, delegation is part of the job but I think there is a bit of resentment in that statement.
People sometimes make the mistake of thinking that the Directors are not hard workers but rather slave drivers. But being a director is probably one of the most stressful jobs out there.
They have to think creatively around a jam packed schedule and trust that everyone on the crew understands their vision for the project. It is important for the director to remain calm and keep a positive attitude amongst the chaos a film set brings.

This video is to help us understand what a director goes through. Check it out. And don’t forget to thank your directors.
