Watch: How to Escape the Trap of Perfectionism

This video is for all the actors, filmmakers, artists, and everyone else who struggles with perfectionism. It cuts to the quick of what it is, explaining it in the simplest of ways.

I am encouraged every time I watch this video by the School of Life channel. I know first hand, it’s hard to start something or take risks when the result of what we make simply doesn’t add up to what we were expecting.

But what this brilliant video lays out is all of those people who were able to go far in what they love to do spent years making things which were less than what they wanted. They were able to make mistakes because they knew by simply making something you’ll grow in little ways.

Let this video serve as a call to create something, to not give up when you become discouraged, and to continue to strive for excellence. Using this as inspiration to create, have patience with yourself as you pursue excellence.
