The Dystopian Society: The Perfect World for Filmmaking

In our world, today, there are so many movies created.

And the dystopian world provides a popular backdrop to many of those stories.

From Wall-E to Terminator, filmmakers find a vast number of stories to give us.

But why do we find a world that has fallen into ruin because of politics, natural disaster or technical takeover so appealing?
