This Is Why Actors Should Pose Like Wonder Woman

I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with being a creative. Especially with my acting. It seems bizarre to me… we take the most sensitive people on earth and then set up their career with auditions, where they get rejected again and again and again.

Like for real? How did this happen? And how do you stay sensitive but still have tough skin for the audition?

Enter Amy Cuddy’s wonderful TEDtalk about how our body language may shape who we are. If you’ve got the time, I recommend watching the entire talk. I think it can help actors for the daily grind of auditions. If we use what Cuddy calls “Power Poses” right before an audition, it might just increase our chances of being cast.

Have a look fellow actors and hopefully it gives you some inspiration for your next audition.
