How to Make Your Dialogue Better

Attention Screenwriters and, well, any and every Creative in the filmmaking world – this clip is for you.

We can all learn a thing or two from Cineplex’ list of top ten movies with effective dialogue. It is a plea to stay away from lazy screenwriting and explore the depths of possibilities with dialogue.

They look at movies effectively encapsulating different aspects of dialogue such as specificity, wordplay & trickery, subtext, verbal conflict, storytelling, naturalism and stylized banter.

Most of the time, the directors and actors tend to be the ones who receive most of the recognition and attention for the respective projects, even though it is first and foremost a collaboration of creatives.

The foundation of every good movie though, is a good screenplay with excellent dialogue.

Use this little video as an inspiration to work those creativity muscles and not settle for the comfort zone.
