How to do Marketing Right

If you’ve ever worked on any kind of crowdfunding/marketing/promo campaign you know that being creative and connecting with your audience is key. Marvel is king at this, from setting up full cast panels at comic-cons, to the touching story of Thor’s “He’s a friend from work!” line coming from a Make-A-Wish recipient.

Marvel really seems to know their fans have made them a household name over the past nine years, and the Infinity War trailer announcement was no exception.

With a tag line of “Thank you to the best fans in the Universe” Marvel made a compilation of their fans’ best trailer reactions to announce their upcoming blockbuster. Marvel could have made any kind of announcement that the trailer was coming and fans would have eaten it up, instead they made an effort to include their fans, saying: “Hey, we’re in this together.”

It was a great personal touch and with over 8 million views it definitely did not go unnoticed. If you’re looking for a model to your next marketing campaign, this is it.
