Metropolis Director Lang Was One Of The Craziest Directors

Fritz Lang may have been an innovative director who helped change the way we make movies, but he was horrible and crazy. His sets were not safe, he was crude to actors, indecent to actresses and just not a good example of being decent to people in general.

This video by Renegade Cut gives us 8 examples of the horrors associated with working on a Lang film. Not going to lie, several of these made me gasp, especially the ones dealing with children and the actresses he demanded shave certain parts of their bodies. Unheard of and outrageous things which would have him fired several times over, I’m sure.

Let this be an example to all independent filmmakers out there on why it’s important to have safety on set and why you should be smart when it comes to making innovative films.
