I’m starting a new creative camera series to show just how easy it is to get great looks with the equipment you already have. This time around I’m showing you how I got a VHS look from my DSLR and iPhone!

For the DSLR I took my footage into premiere and added a few different effects. I started with adjusting the picture to be less clear by blurring the image, and getting a more retro look with different colors. I threw on an overlay of tv static, the date and time stamp, and finished off by adding color.

For my iPhone it was simply point and shoot with a great VHS app that I found! It’s user friendly, and gives great results.
