Think of the most popular movies from the past decade. I’m willing to bet that over 90% of them are using Computer Generated Images (CGI) to tell their stories. You’d think CGI is only used for aliens, dinosaurs, and fantastical imagery but nay, I say! Many studios are using it for backgrounds and facial replacement; saving the big bucks on travel and insurance.

Many people believe CGI is ONLY used for these big budget movie blockbusters but to me this sounds like a practical way that smaller independent film companies can save money as well. Thanks to modern technology you can remove the clouds that ruined your scene. CGI provides an innovative way for independent filmmakers to bring up the production value of their projects.
