It’s safe to say that 10 years after the premiere of Pushing Daisies there’s still nothing quite as fun, quirky or innovative. It tells the tale of Ned who discovers he possesses a rare gift, to bring the dead back to life with a single touch. He puts his power to good use and helps an investigator unravel murders by reviving them back to life to find the names of the killers. Obstacles arise when Ned finds his childhood sweetheart, Chuck, dead, he instantly brings her back, however there’s a catch. If Ned ever touches Chuck again, she’ll go back to being dead forever. *Gasp!*
Pushing Daisies made sure to stand out from the crowd by having a completely unique style, captivating special effects, and fantastic wardrobe choices. The show is beautiful and deserving of love and affection but is doomed by his power of touch, talk about a tug on the heart!
Pushing Daisies is super inspiring as a far as creativity, it’s definitely one of a kind and I think filmmakers should think outside of the norm and start on their own creative endeavours.
