Will The New Aussie Original Series Be Good?

Tidelands is a new Aussie TV series set to be filmed in Queensland’s community. It’s about time Australia landed an original series on Netflix, but my question is, will it be good?

The premise: A body washes ashore in a small fishing village, Orphelin Bay, and the town is inhabited by half human half sirens called Tidelanders.

To be honest, when I heard the news about an Aussie TV series coming to Netflix, I was pretty excited. But then, I watched the trailer and I was a little disappointed, maybe it was just the trailer, but I thought it was cheesy, I wasn’t sure what the heck was going on, and it didn’t really draw me in.

In saying that, I still have hope it could be good, I mean it’s a supernatural crime drama!

The series was created and written by Stephen M. Irwin. and stars Elsa Pataky, Charlotte Best, Madeleine Madden, Peter O’Brien, and Marco Pigossi.

Tidelands is the first Aussie original on Netflix, they dropped the trailer on October 22, 2018, and announced the series will be available to stream on December 14. I’m definitely going to watch it, and hopefully, it’ll be better than what I’m expecting.
