New Film About The Life & Work of Tolkien Is On Its Way

Tolkien, a new, creative film starring Nicholas Hoult and Lily Collins is set to release this May about the life of J.R.R. Tolkien, his wife, and the life that inspired his masterpiece, The Lord Of The Rings.

From the trailer, which you can watch below, it looks to be along the lines of other similar tales about authors like Finding Neverland, and American Splendor, where reality mixes in with the author’s imagination. And as a huge fan of LOTR, I’m stoked to see this incredible author’s life immortalized in a film. I love films about authors because as an aspiring author, it gives me hope for my own novels to bring inspiration to others someday. These films are always the best for writers.

Definitely keep an eye on this one, I think it’s going to be a source of inspiration to all the writers out there who are dreaming of finishing that book.
