When You See ‘When They See Us’

Netflix is surely releasing more and more quality content for us in the streaming community to spend our time on.

Following true crime docu-series’ like Making a Murderer and The Confession Tapes it only makes sense to continue this trend in the form of a based-on-a-true-story drama series When They See Us.

When They See Us chronicles the 1989 trial of ‘The Central Park 5’, a group of Harlem teenagers accused of a rape they did not commit.

This series is bound to tug at the heart strings of its audience. There’s definitely an appeal for this kind of story, as it follows innocent people trying to right wrongs and survive.

I hadn’t even heard of this until I saw the trailer pop up on YouTube, but I’m glad I came across it as these important true stories need to be told and can pave the way for more to be told like it.

The anticipated, innovative 4 part mini-series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on May 31, 2019.
