A New Mulan Is Coming And It Looks Amazing!

Mulan is coming to cinemas in 2020 as an innovative live-action film and this time it looks like Disney has finally gotten it right. The new teaser trailer looks amazing and epic.

Why does it look so great? Because it looks like a stand alone film, something that honours the animated classic while becoming its own story. There’s no sign of the quirky sidekick Mushu or the bumbling boys or the klutzy girl, instead, it reminds me of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or Hero. Something of epic proportions and I really hope the following trailers and teasers continue to show us this.

Mulan’s story is one of heroics that should be honoured with compelling characters, set design, and more. Her story inspired young girls everywhere that they were more than just a pretty thing on a mantel, but that they could be strong and courageous.

And so far, it seems Disney gets it and has finally done a remake right. We can only hope it stays this way. Here’s hoping Mulan is as epic as this teaser is and becomes a whole new source of inspiration to the youth of today.

“Yes, I will bring honour to us all … It is my duty, to fight.” – Mulan
