A Beautiful Time To Be Alive, Welcome To The Neighborhood

This November, get ready for some serious inspiration as the life of Fred Rogers, known to most simply as Mister Rogers, is coming to your neighbourhood theaters in a new film.

A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood, starring Tom Hanks, and directed by Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) takes a look at the real-life friendship between Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. The film is directed by Marielle Heller, director of Can You Ever Forgive Me?

Full of nostalgic moments, and what looks to be an incredible performance by Hanks, I’m excited to see where they take this story, the trailer’s already given me goosebumps and almost made me cry. Fred Rogers had such an incredible heart to see people as unique and wonderful and I’m so excited that we get to see a glimpse of his life in this new film.

The trailer reminded me of all the fun puppets and songs and I for one got giddy to see some familiar faces, like Daniel Tiger. What’s one of your favourite moments or characters from the show?

As I watched it, I was also inspired to keep persevering in my creativity and to be present in every moment. If just the trailer did this, I can’t wait to see what the film does. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer and may it be a source of inspiration for your creativity.

“I think the best thing we can do is to let people know that each one of them is precious.” – Mister Rogers
