Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Friends With These Funny Moments

From 1994 to 2004 Friends kept us entertained and laughing with the creative and innovative content of each episode. This year marks the 25th Anniversary and I thought it was only right to highlight some of my favourite funny moments throughout the show.

Perhaps my absolute favourite of all the funny scenes is when Ross buys a couch and enlists his friends to move it into his apartment. This scene got me through a few really rough moments, and still to this day, hits that funny bone. Even David Schwimmer got the giggles after repeating “Pivot” so many times.

I feel this one on a personal level, as the alarm in my house goes off for the silliest of reasons (it’s called toast fire alarm! not a fire!). Every moment of this scenario builds so beautifully onto the next moment. And again we can see Lisa Kudrow fighting the laughter. But that just makes it better. Favourite moment is when she finds the button. Too good.

While I can’t say I’ve eaten cheesecake off the floor, I have eaten mac and cheese off the floor, so I can totally relate to this one. The timing of every moment, especially when Rachel knocks the plate out of Chandler’s hands is so perfect. But my favourite moment in this one is when Joey joins them and pulls a fork out of his pocket. Priceless!

Oh, the feels. The laughter! The hilarity of Ross’ scream. It all combines to perfection. And again the gag at the end with Ross trying to unagi a couple of random girls because he thinks it’s Rachel and Phoebe, dude, it’s just hilarious.

Whoever thought of this is a genius. Like, come on, hilarious. The props Monica manages to get onto the turkey, the dance, the slow turn when Chandler professes his love, how Joey freaks out, it’s just all so good.

While the clip I found mostly has the two sides tormenting Joey with all the secrets, this whole section of Friends never fails to make me laugh. The awkward seduction, the tang tungaling words of who knows what. It’s just all good. And ends on such a happy note of Chandler’s profession of love 🙂 Which leads us nicely to the next funny moment …

This is one I have to watch over and over again because I’m laughing so hard I can’t see the screen. And while I’ve never tried to wear skin-tight leather pants (thanks Ross I learned that lesson from you) I think we can all relate to how hard it is to pull clothes on over wet skin. My favourite moment in this is when he hits himself in the head. I hope this little love letter to the funny moments of Friends brightens your day. Let us know in the comments what your favourite innovative and hilarious scenes are and enjoy celebrating the 25th anniversary of the show.
