The Real Cinematography Used In Pixar’s Animation

Who doesn’t love the popular movies of Pixar?! They are praised for their innovative stories and characters and one of those things that make their films so great, is how the rules and uses of cinematography in real life are used in their animated shots.

Thanks to YouTuber Nerdwriter 1, we get a great glimpse of the different real life camera movements and shots are used in animation, all to help tell the most compelling and impacting story. 

Not only is this fun to see how the animators of Pixar are making their films more realistic, but it’s also insightful for those budding or aspiring cinematographers. It’s a great little how to for film school students and inspiration on how to use the camera to tell the story, enjoy!
