Have Movie Posters Lost Their Edge?

What is it that has gotten us to go see popular movies at the theater or pick a good movie on Netflix? Whatever it is, it certainly isn’t movie posters! Youtube channel, GoodBadFlicks uploaded a video 6 years ago that seems truer today than it did back then!

Movie posters are simply not what they used to be. Across the board, they tend to have similar color palettes, similar visual cues, and most often don’t evoke a feeling you would have during the movie in order to hook you to actually see it.

While posters nowadays are cool and artistically well done, there is very little creativity when it comes to utilizing the entire poster and inserting part of the story within the dimension of the poster.
