How Do They Compare: Practical Vs. Visual Effects

In the art of filmmaking, the creatives that dream up the non-human characters have a choice to make. Who do they hire to breath life into the creatures? Make-up artist or CGI masters? Sometimes it requires both, but what gives the character life? In this video, I explain which I think does the best.

While this is only one opinion, what do you think about the tenacious filmmakers that spend their time bringing these characters to life?
