While it may not make the list of popular movies, The Dark Crystal definitely has a cult following. The 1982 Jim Henson film pits a Gelfling against the dark Skeksis.

The new Netflix show, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, takes us back, long before the Skeksis took power. Life once flourished on the planet of Thra, but “the darkening” approaches. The Gelflings must race to stop it.

For those who are fans of the original, don’t worry. They’re sticking with the classic Jim Henson aesthetic. It’s all puppets.
