With the turn of 2015 brings the opportunity for newness and we are walking boldly forward into this new year with purpose. It will be a year of risk and adventure. A year of endless possibilities and a year of finishing strong.
Finishing Strong
One of the things we are all excited for is finishing The Umbrella.
After years of production, reshoots, ADR and post production we are finally at the last mile.
It’s crazy exciting to see this project come to a close. It’s been quit the learning experience and we’ve grown in our professionalism. To think we started out with only five people who were still green around the ears and now we are at the finish line. We took the risk, became fools along the way, but we’re finishing strong.
Our director, Jason Solari, just got back from LA where he worked alongside our Sound Mixer. It was a great time for him and it opened all our eyes to see just how far we’ve come as a small independent company.
There are literally only a few things left to do to tie it all together and then we will be able to announce to the world that it is finished. I know all of us are really looking forward to that day.
Risk Taking
The year ahead is opening before us like a bright horizon full of possibilities. One of the things we are looking forward to is more projects. Several people are writing scripts, both short films and features, and it’s only a matter of time before we get back out there and start making more movies.
One project we will be working on within the next month is a short film called Skipping Stones. The script is in the final stages and we will begin producing it in the next few weeks. The story follows a young man as he grieves the passing of his father and learns what it means to step into those final stages of adulthood.
We’re excited to get back into producing short films and look forward to seeing everything come together for Skipping Stones.
There is still much ahead for this year, this is only a glimpse of 2015. Stick around and follow the journey with us. I hope our adventures encourage you to take more risks to pursue your dreams because we are living ours.
