When the Movies Successfully Fooled All of Us

It’s amazing how so many popular movies have obvious visual effects making the audience go, ‘Uhh, FAKE’.

However, there are just as many scenes in your favourite movies which utilised visual effects without you even thinking twice.

The Top 10 Visual Effects You Thought Were Real is an interesting and insightful video. It gives us a glimpse of some amazing blue/green screen scenes ranging from supplying an actor with an identical twin to creating whole entire cities.

The reason these effects are so interesting is because many times they’re used in seemingly everyday scenes.

Although, when you think about what’s needed to be done in order to achieve the filmmakers vision you realise it couldn’t possibly be accomplished without the use of visual effects.

Take a look and be surprised. Even as independent filmmakers, we often forget how much work, time and effort actually goes into making a good film.
