Want to know how to make movies with no money? You might be thinking is that even possible!? Well, there’s hope, it is possible. Filmmakers can get caught up in the babble of the right or wrong way to make a movie and it can prevent us from creating what we actually want to create. If you’re worried about doing it wrong or you think it won’t look right, you probably won’t get anywhere. Embrace the creative freedom and press on to do everything you can with what you have. As filmmakers it’s important to not only be creative but to think creatively about what the best resources are to make your film commendable and good.
Having no money means more independence. If you have a small budget or not one at all it’s best to be prepared and strategic.
Create your own studio, download adobe, if you have connections don’t hesitate to ask for help. Don’t have a camera? No worries, these days some filmmakers are using their phones to make feature films, now that’s initiative. Don’t have props for your cast? Thrift shopping is a great idea, you never know what you might score. If you want to get really serious with your film you can sell some of your belongings or borrow items from family or friends.
Money shouldn’t be the thing holding you back. For all of you independent filmmakers, it’s more than possible and this video gives great encouragement to those who might have been discouraged in the past.
