In an age where old popular movies are being remade, don’t let this one fool you. Mary Poppins Returns will be flying into cinemas near the end of this year, but it’s not a remake.
Emily blunt takes on the role of Mary Poppins who once again comes to the Banks children. This time however, the children that played opposite Julie Andrews’ Mary Poppins have grown up, and the children are Michael’s.
“Really, one never discusses a woman’s age, Michael. I would have hoped I taught you better.”
The ever whimsical Mary Poppins leaves just as many questions as the first time, with magic and a seeming agelessness.
With a creative new story and some new music, this film will offer an entertaining continuation of a classic tale.
