Forever, Disney stars have done anything and everything they can to escape the popular movies of their past. Zac Efron has seemed to do so with ease, getting leading roles almost immediately after the success of his immortalized portrayal of Troy Bolton.
While he’s had no trouble finding roles since he’s left the house of mouse, he usually gets cast as the college frat guy, or some other hunky-comedic role, that looks like it’s about to change with his latest film: Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Efron is boldly taking on the role of infamous serial killer Ted Bundy, and having an eerily good time doing it.
Based on the real life events the movie looks like it’s going to explore the killer’s manipulative and charming nature and will interestingly dive into his wife’s (Lily Collins) perspective of the multiple court cases.
While the film has understandably stirred up controversy with claims of glorifying the killer, the movie is killing it at Sundance with critics. Let us know what you think of the movie, innovative biopic or crass and unnecessary?
