Check Out These Remarkable Regional Differences in Cartoons

I had no idea that animators were so creative and innovative in adapting different cartoon characters and story elements to different countries and cultures.

Even though this video mainly contains fun facts and may not be essential to life, it did remind me not to assume and be ignorant when dealing with people from a culture other than my own.

Mannerisms, gestures, words that are not offensive in your culture might offend other fellow colleagues. I’d encourage you to show an interest in the different cultures around you and to inform yourself.

Scriptwriters, when you include characters from different ethnicities, inform yourself and be careful not to assume. Of course this applies to actors and the film crew as well – have fun finding out the differences and being intentional with one another!
