The best thing for us independent filmmakers is about to happen. The Initiative Production Company is about the release The Umbrella, our first feature film, in Australia and New Zealand. Soon enough, you can own it yourself.
Synopsis
Jared Evans disengages from life, using an imaginary umbrella, to protect himself from pain. Aided by his unorthodox therapist and Edith, the girl he met in the waiting room of his therapy session, Jared must decide whether to let go of his umbrella and risk living again, or continue to run and hide as he’d been doing.
It will be available on many platforms including iTunes. It’s been a long journey for us, but at last, viewers can watch our film.
The release date is 21 June 2017. If we get 150 downloads on the first day, we will be featured on the iTunes site.
Along with The Umbrella finally being released, we are also moving further into post-production with The Out of the Woods Project. We are one step closer perfecting how to make movies, and we’re excited for the next step.
