A Supernatural Glimpse At The Roles Of Production Design & Art Director

Want to know how to make movies? Check out this great clip from YouTube Channel CookeOpticsTV and their interview with Production Designer/Art Director Terry Ackland Snow, who worked on Batman, Aliens, and Superman II & III.

This incredible old-school filmmaker talks about what it’s like to work with a small budget, how to create sets on supernatural thrillers and superhero flicks and talks about the importance of how to get a start in this fun job. It’s so cool to look back on these classic films and how they were made, and realize a lot of what they did back in the ’70s and ’80s is still relevant today.

“It really is different, you’re full on inventing things and making them work … It’s just exciting business.” Terry Ackland Snow

This one’s a good watch for all the film school students who have just finished school and want to know what’s next, enjoy.
