Inside the Best Puppet Shop in the World

One of the most tenacious shows from my childhood had to be Sesame Street. The Jim Henson Company created all the puppets for the show. Then there was the Muppets. And so many other iconic creatures.

Even now, long after Jim Henson’s death, the Creature Shop is still breathing life into puppets and animatronics for films and television shows. Most recently, they returned to Thara in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and once again brought life to the Gelflings and Skeksis.

Times have changed since the beginning of the Creature Shop, and technology has made their creatures easier to bring to life. Check out this video to see how the creative minds behind the creations brought them to life.
