Before we conclude this awesome series, I want to give you some movies to watch that are all praised for one reason — these feature films were shot entirely on smartphones! That’s right! An entire feature film, seen through the lens of a phone like the one in your pocket! These feature films come from independent filmmakers at each spectrum of the industry. Steven Soderbergh even has a hat in the ring!

Here’s a list of films that utilized a smartphone to film.

  • “Night Fishing” (2011)
  • “Searching for Sugar Man” (2012)
  • “I Play With the Phrase Each Other” (2013)
  • “Uneasy Lies the Mind” (2014)
  • “Tangerine” (2015)
  • “Romance in NYC” (2015)
  • “Unsane” (2018)
  • “High Flying Bird” (2019)
