A Brilliant Look At The Craft Of Stop Motion

Stop Motion Animation has been a powerful and creative tool since its birth in 1898, and since then has only become a stronger and more influential part of filmmaking.

It has become an amazing challenge for those who are daring enough to face it, but it produces incredible stories, ones unable to be shared rightly through a different medium.

One of those ways is through children’s films. Many kids enjoy stop motion animation, and who would blame them? The practicality of the space, the freedom to create wild creatures and bring them to life in ways not always as believable otherwise, what’s not to love?

If you’re like me, then you’ve always wondered what it would be like to see just what goes into the making of a stop motion film, well, here’s a wonderful video to do just that!

YouTube channel, Insider, posted a short video showcasing behind the scenes footage and breakdown of the creation of the 2019 film, Missing Link. The video has exciting footage of sets and character creations, as well as interviews with the director of the film on his creative process and bringing this film to life via stop motion animation.

Click on the video below to get an inside look through the minds of the dreamers behind the film, Missing Link!
