Watch How The 2020 Oscar Films Got Their Nominations

Despite opinions that the Oscars are becoming more and more irrelevant and there were many popular movies not nominated this year, I was actually very excited for the awards ceremony for 2020 and was pleasantly surprised when Bong Joon Ho’s Korean feature Parasite took away the most awards.

That being said, many of the films nominated were incredibly great stories, but what goes on behind the scenes of those sets will probably blow your mind.

It might actually amaze you the lengths some of these films go to in order to create a genuine experience for the audience, from subtle prosthetics, to lighting equipment designed to look like a part of the set.

This Insider video gives us a tiny glimpse into the secrets behind this year’s Oscar nominated film’s.

Alongside great writing and directing, it’s amazing how far technology and special effects have come in the film world, which is why popular movies of today get their popularity.
